Last week, Évora hosted a training session on energy, organized in collaboration with the Sustainable Energy Youth Network (SEYN) and the Humanitarian Centre of Évora of the Portuguese Red Cross.
The event brought together around 20 participants who had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge throughout the day on solar energy, energy literacy, and efficiency. The session was led by Dr. Luís Fialho, a researcher at the Renewable Energies Chair at the University of Évora, who shared approaches and strategies to optimize energy use, with a particular focus on sustainability.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness among the local community about energy issues while equipping participants with practical tools to adopt more efficient and environmentally friendly practices.
As the energy transition becomes increasingly urgent, events like this play a crucial role in promoting energy literacy and encouraging the use of renewable energy sources such as solar power.
