Welcome to the AURORA project demo site in Évora, Portugal!
The Renewable Energy Community of the AURORA Project at the University of Évora is a pioneering initiative that merges the city’s historical heritage with technological innovation. Located in a UNESCO World Heritage region, the university is leading the way in energy transition by creating a sustainable community that integrates renewable energy sources, such as solar power, to reduce carbon footprints and promote energy self-sufficiency. The Renewable Energy Community of Évora will consist of 24 key points, ensuring a comprehensive approach to sustainability and community involvement. This project not only focuses on clean energy production but also engages the academic and local communities, fostering awareness and active participation in building a greener and more resilient future.
