Project AURORA was invited as one of the six inspiring showcase at the Citizen Science i Midten symposium, which was held on 22 Aug in Aarhus, Denmark.
Close to 150 researchers, practitioners, policy makers from Central Denmark Region attended the symposium. The participants discussed citizen science topics under different six themes: Biodiversity, Digital citizenship, Food, Climate and green transition, Culture and democracy, Health and welfare.
Local demonstration site coordinator Zhe Zhang from Aarhus University shared how project AURORA engages citizens in the green transition and the challenges that the local team has encountered in the past 18 months.
The participants also discussed during a themed workshop on general challenges on involving citizens in the green transition and how researchers and policy makers can collaborate to overcome these challenges.
