Biography

Anukriti Sharma is an environmental scientist and climate action specialist passionate about citizen science and community-driven solutions. She is part of CitizenScience.Asia, and the Project Coordinator for the inaugural Asia Nature Challenge. She has also been actively involved in steering India’s City Nature Challenge efforts. Her work spans research, advocacy, and outreach, each playing a key role in driving environmental action. She sees AURORA as a powerful model for change and is eager to contribute however she can as it expands beyond Europe. For her, our planet is our only home, and science should be accessible to all.

Motivation

I am an environmental scientist who has been involved in citizen science since childhood and recently deepened my engagement as the Project Coordinator for the Asia Nature Challenge. I truly believe in the power of direct action and community-driven change—awareness and knowledge-sharing are key, and citizen science is central to this movement. Through my interactions with Martin Brocklehurst, I learned about AURORA and was inspired to be part of it. While AURORA is not yet well known in India, I hope to see it expand here. Until then, I am ready to contribute in any way I can to support its mission. Our planet is our only home, shared with all living beings, and I am committed to driving awareness, engagement, and action for a sustainable, and in this way, a renewable energy future.
