Biography

Paula is an Associate Professor at the College of Business in University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland researching and teaching Operational Research and Business Analytics. Paula focuses on problems that arise in the clean energy transition, creating mathematical models of the problems and implementing solution algorithms. With a background in industry and electrical engineering, Paula coordinates the CHIST-ERA SEC-OREA project “Supporting Energy Communities with Operations Research and Energy Analytics”, https://www.secorea.eu/, and chairs the UCD Sustainable Energy Community.

Motivation

As chair of the UCD Sustainable Energy Community and a researcher in problems and solutions for Local Energy Communities, I am interested in the progress and solutions identified by the AURORA project team.
