On 14 and 15 April 2025, the 27th Energy Days took place in Portorož, on the Slovenian coast. This well-established event is organised by the business daily Finance. As part of Energy Day, the Energy Awards ceremony was also held. These awards recognise outstanding energy-related projects submitted to the Finance call by various investors.
The call was divided into several categories:
- Energy-efficient project
- Energy efficiency in transport and logistics
- Energy-efficient company
- Promotional project in the field of renewable energy sources
The University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, submitted the AURORA project, or rather its results, under the category Promotional project in the field of renewable energy sources. As we were the only nominee in this category, we received a Special Recognition.
The highlight of the event took place on the evening of Monday, 14 April, at the Grand Hotel Bernardin. At the glamorous award ceremony, the University of Ljubljana was represented by Dr Matevž Bokalič, who also accepted the Special Recognition.
