This year EU Green Week will take place in Brussels from 29th – 30th May 2024 at the European Parliamentary building. The 2024 EU Green Week is part of a wider communication campaign dedicated to the topic of water resilience. The objective is to stimulate an EU-wide conversation around the EU’s water present and future, with an emphasis on fostering awareness and promoting positive, collaborative solutions.
This will be an opportunity for project AURORA to make the case that whilst we need to secure our water supply against a backdrop of a surge in natural disasters, such as droughts and floods, we also still need to engage with citizens to reduce the carbon emissions which are responsible for the problem in the first case. Project AURORA will continue to make the case that we need to link carbon reduction and citizens behaviour with the increasingly damaging storm and drought events that Europe is experiencing.
