The sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) is in session from 26 February to 1 March, 2024 at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. Martin Brocklehurst will be ensuring details of project AURORA are circulated to Member States, NGO’s, UN Representatives, Business Leaders and Citizen Scientists attending this event and the Open Ended Committee of the Permanent Representatives who develop the key resolutions for UNEA6.

UNEA is the world’s top decision-making body on the environment and events cluster around UNEA including the UN Major Groups,  the Climate and Clean Air Conference, Cities and Regions Summit and many more.  Martin as Chair of the Citizen Science Global Partnership  (CSGP) will be leading a 12 strong delegation that contains citizen scientists from around the world who will be making the case that citizen science should be an integral part of future UNEA Resolutions. Martin commented “I will take every opportunity to make it clear how important project AURORA is in laying out how citizen scientists can be engaged  in taking action on climate change”. Further details will be posted on the LINKEDIN AURORA discussion group on citizen science and climate change, on how events progress.  So please get involved in this group and let your voice be heard.
