Project AURORA - Tackling Climate Change
We are delighted to confirm that project AURORA has officially been welcomed as an EU Climate Partner, joining over 8000 Climate Change Ambassadors and 34 Climate Change Pact Partners.
This is a movement of people united by a shared mission to build a more sustainable Europe and help the EU to become climate-neutral by 2050.
The EU Climate Pact brings individuals, communities, and organisations together to fight climate change and adopt to its consequences.
Martin Brocklehurst from the Communications Team at project AURORA said:
“We are delighted to join this group of like minded individuals as we seek to promote the idea that citizen science is an essential tool in tackling climate change. The AURORA project has developed a unique APP for tracking personal carbon emissions from heating and powering our homes and from the transport choices we all make. Linked to our unique carbon labelling scheme individuals can see their own route map to Net Zero Carbon by 2030. We want to see people across Europe using and testing the app and showing they care. They can also invest in solar community schemes. Earning money, and at the same time making our contribution to tackling climate change – what a combination! The EU Climate Pact gives us a chance to share our ideas with this highly motivated community and we look forward to working closely with them.”
