Biography

Emma-Jayne is a positive, resilient, solution-focused leader and strategic thinker with considerable experience of working in local government and the voluntary sector. With learning, qualifications and a career history in environment, conservation, sustainability, climate change and renewable energy. Emma-Jayne is a skilled collaborator who is enthusiastic and ambitious with a strong direction and clarity of purpose – to make a difference and achieve success, and to empower and enable others to fully use their strengths, talents and abilities. Emma-Jayne has a BA (Hons) in Environment and Social Values and a Post Graduate Certificate in Environmental Conservation Management. This knowledge led Emma-Jayne to pursue a career that focused on helping people and the planet. Her current role as the AURORA Forest of Dean Project Lead has encompassed renewable energy, climate emergency, community solar, net zero and energy communities.

Motivation

Emma-Jayne understands the urgency of our climate and biodiversity emergency and the need for a just energy transition from fossil fuels, and lifestyles that are in balance with the environment.
