AURORA joined the EU Climate Pact just over 1 year ago. AURORA was selected from over 400 applicants to be in the first batch of 30 Pact Partners to join the scheme.
“The European Climate Pact is a movement of people united around a common cause, each taking steps in their own worlds to build a more sustainable Europe. Launched by the European Commission, the Pact is part of the European Green Deal and is helping the EU to meet its goal to become climate-neutral by 2050.
Everyone has a place in the Pact. You can get involved whether you are just starting out on your climate action journey or already working to make a difference in your world. You can take part as an individual or as an organisation – for example, a city, a community or an association”.
These are exactly the steps project AURORA is taking across 5 European Countries working with and establishing Energy Communities that can make a real difference not only to making the energy transition, but also reducing personal carbon emissions by using the AURORA energy tracker app.
In 2025 we were recognised as a core member of the EU Climate Pact when our membership was extended for a further 12 months. The Pact is a great way to spread our message about our success to over 1000 Pact Ambassadors and Pact partners who have great reach to encourage others to follow our example.
We are proud to be part of the EU Climate Pact and to work with other who share our beliefs that everyone can make a difference. By changing our personal behaviours we can make a difference to climate change.
