Solar Oven Workshop

On June 25, 2023, the Sustainable Action Group of Project AURORA hosted a solar cooking workshop, providing participants with the unique opportunity to build their own solar ovens. The event, held in cooperation with the “Circles of Transformation” Association and the Évora Municipal Council, aimed to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness about the power of solar energy in culinary pursuits.

The workshop attracted a diverse range of participants, and under the expert guidance of the Sustainable Action Group facilitators, they were led through the process of constructing their own solar ovens.

Throughout the event, participants gained practical knowledge regarding solar cooking technology and were encouraged to reflect on the positive impact that sustainable practices can have on the environment and local communities.

With the success of this workshop, it is expected that more similar events will be held in the future, empowering even more people to adopt more sustainable lifestyles.
