On Wednesday, 4 December, Ljubljana will host a national citizen science event, Discover, Collaborate, Research: From Theory to Practice. The event will serve as an excellent opportunity for researchers, citizens, and anyone interested in the field of citizen science to meet, exchange experiences, and shape a vision for the future of this dynamic domain.
The event will focus on in-depth discussions about the significance, role, and contributions of citizen science within the modern research landscape. Special emphasis will be placed on exploring possibilities for establishing a Citizen Science Network, analysing current trends in international organisations, and integrating citizen science into the broader context of open science.
The national citizen science event in Slovenia will also showcase the AURORA project and the ŠEK Student Energy Club. The presentation, led by Dr Matevž Bokalič on behalf of the University of Ljubljana, will highlight the use of the AURORA Energy Tracker mobile application.
