On 24th June 2024, the solar panels and materials for the crowdfunded rooftop photovoltaic system arrived in Aarhus. The assembling team has already started building the supporting structure the next day.
The installed capacity in the project is 98 kW in total, on 2 rooftops in the area called Nobelparken. Two different types of solar panels are chosen for the installation (one on each rooftop), so students and researchers can compare their performance in the Danish weather. The installation adopts a east-west orientation in delta structure and ballast system for mounting.

The construction of the system is estimated to take roughly take 2 weeks. We expect the system will be connected and turned on in July.
