PROJECT AURORA presented its ideas for a webinar on Higher Education and Energy Communities at the latest EU Climate Pact Community Forum.  The EU Climate Pact is a natural partner for project AURORA, now with over 1,100 Ambassadors and 50 Pact Partners across 27 EU Countries.

Martin Brocklehurst outlined plans for the webinar that will take place on 30th April 2025 (12.00 – 14.00 CET).

Discussions took place on the opportunities for Pact Ambassadors and Pact Partners to join the event.  Further details will follow about the Agenda for the meeting on the AURORA H2020 website.

Details were also outlined about the AURORA Exploitation plan and EU Climate Pact Partners were invited to join:

  • a global working group that AURORA is to set up with the support of the Citizen Science Global Partnership (CGSP) to develop common methods for citizen science climate change mitigation programmes. Current methods from project AURORA along with others being tested in Europe, will be part of the mix of methods developed; and
  • to consider joining the global citizen science delegation that the CSGP will take to the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA7) from 8-12 December 2025, in Nairobi Kenya, where these ideas will be shared with UNEA attendees, including Member States, NGO’s and UNEP staff.
