Biography

Špela Tomšič graduated from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, in 2019. She now works as a researcher at the Laboratory of Photovoltaics and Optoelectronics, where she completed a PhD in photovoltaics. Her research is focused on coupled thermal, electrical, and optical modeling of solar cells for accurate long-term energy yield prediction, with a closer focus on the characterization and optimization of tandem perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells.

Motivation

Špela Tomšič is inspired by the idea behind the Aurora project, as it embodies a simple and effective way to turn climate and environmental challenges into opportunities that make the green transition just and inclusive for all.
