Biography

Versatile engineer in the renewable energy and development fields specialized in the energy transition, solar minigrids and rural electrification. Pablo studied telecommunications engineering at UPM Madrid and international business administration at ICEX-CECO. He has lived in Spain, Germany, South Africa, Senegal, Chad, Switzerland. With over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Pablo combines experience from the field implementing decentralized energy projects in developing countries, together with experience from the industry, working for power electronics manufacturers in several roles including technical support, training, business development, product management, marketing and communication. More in detail, Pablo worked as a project engineer for an international consulting and engineering company specializing in distributed renewable energy production. During this time, Pablo has overseen the engineering and management of solar mini-grid and rural electrification projects in countries such as Chad, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania. In 2017 Pablo joined Studer, a high-end Swiss manufacturer of battery inverters and solar charge controllers, as technical support manager and was responsible for marketing since 2021. In 2024 Pablo joined Enphase, a leading American manufacturer of microinverters and residential energy solutions, as Field Application Engineer.

Motivation

I see Aurora project in line with my passion as technology facilitator to the sustainable energy transition. I’m very interested in innovative approaches for smart decentralized energy development, access to electricity, appropriate mini-grid technology, operation, maintenance and monitoring, load management, capacity building, community engagement. Looking forward to contributing to the new energy management models and to unleashing the power of decentralized energy.
