Biography

Tihomir Betti received his PhD degree in Electronics from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at University of Split, Croatia in 2009. He is currently a Full Professor at the Department of Electronics and Computing at the same faculty. His main research interest include photovoltaic devices and systems. He is currently focused on studying soiling losses in photovoltaic systems.

Motivation

Sustainability is not just a concept—it is a necessity. The AURORA project represents a unique opportunity to merge cutting-edge photovoltaic research with community-driven action. More importantly, this project empowers students and citizens to take control of their energy consumption and reduce their carbon footprint. Science must serve society, and through AURORA, we are building a future where everyone has a role in the energy transition.
