In November the team from the AURORA Project at the University of Évora paid a visit to EB1 São Mamede, located in the city of Évora. During this visit, students had the opportunity to delve into the world of solar energy and sustainable practices.
AURORA introduced the students of this school to the importance of the Sun as an inexhaustible source of clean energy. Additionally, the children were educated about the vitality of recycling for environmental preservation.
This initiative provided theoretical knowledge and encouraged students to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives. Believing in the power of small actions to address the global climate crisis, members of Project AURORA emphasized how individual small changes can add up to create a significant long-term impact.
It is hoped that these young citizens will become great advocates for the environment, leading the way towards a greener and more sustainable future for all.
