The event gathered scientists, policymakers, and industry leaders from around the globe to discuss cutting-edge advances and build stronger cooperation for a sustainable energy future.<\/p><p>Among the highlights of this year\u2019s edition,\u00a0<strong>Cristina Sanz<\/strong>, a researcher at the\u00a0<strong>Instituto de Energ\u00eda Solar of the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (IES-UPM)<\/strong>, received one of the prestigious\u00a0<strong>Student Awards 2025<\/strong>, granted annually to the most outstanding student contributions presented during the conference. Only six awards were given worldwide, underscoring the significance of her achievement.<\/p><p>Cristina Sanz was recognised for her study,\u00a0<em>\u201cRenewable Energy Communities and Citizen Participation in Technological and Social Innovations,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0which explores how\u00a0<strong>citizens can drive innovation in both technology and social models<\/strong>\u00a0of the energy transition. The project demonstrates how community engagement and open data can accelerate both\u00a0<strong>technical and social innovation<\/strong>, making the energy transition more inclusive, transparent, and effective.<\/p><p>Cristina\u2019s recognition at EU PVSEC reflects this evolving vision: one where\u00a0<strong>people are no longer passive users but active innovators<\/strong>\u00a0in the path toward decarbonisation.
